Product Description

Wilt Chamberlain’s spirit of sport:"The true spirit of sport is not how tall you stand nor how high you reach. It's how much you give of what you have to give."
The contrast between the massive cliffs and the surging waves which patiently eat into the rock over the ebb and flow of centuries, reflects the strength, persistence and determination of a Wilt Chamberlain. The careful images of dominant force and unshakeable strength conveyed by the cliffs symbolize the qualities that set both Wilt Chamberlain and the Special Olympians apart from ordinary athletes. For Special Olympians, the challenges that bring them to the starting line each day require the same patience and persistence as the waves wearing away the rock.
Each example is a sixteen color lithograph on papier d’Arches, pencil signed by the artist and the athlete.
